    The Washington Humane Society (WHS), the only Congressionally-chartered animal welfare agency in the United States, has been the leading voice for animals in the District of Columbia since 1870. As the open-access shelter in the nation’s capital, no call for help goes unanswered, and no animal is ever turned away. WHS provides comfort and care to more than 30,000 animals each year through its broad range of programs and services including: sheltering, adoption, humane law enforcement, spay and neuter, humane education, human – animal programs, and lost and found services. Dog Park Pawlitics

According to DogParkUsa.com, there are over fifty dog parks and off-leash areas in the D.C. Metropolitan area.  If you and your beloved canine frequent the dog park, then we hope you join us on Sunday, August 22nd for "Dog Park Pawlitics: Seven Things You Should Know Before Heading to the Dog Park.”

Be that savvy dog owner who knows how to avoid incidents, read subtle body language, and know when your dog is no longer benefiting from the park, it’s not as easy as you may think!
