If you have room in her heart for a special needs dog please consider Fendi. She has been with us since September. Her shoulder was accidently slammed in a door at her owner’s home. Sadly Fendi’s owner could not afford the medical treatment needed to repair her shoulder and Fendi was surrendered to the Washington Humane Society.
WHS used money from “Sophie’s Fund”, a special fund designated for emergency medical care of homeless animals to finance the surgery Fendi needed. We thank of you for keeping Sophie’s Fund full; without it we could not save animals like Fendi.
Fendi is now up for adoption at our Georgia Avenue shelter. Her fractured shoulder has healed, but unfortunately it did not heal properly and she may need more surgeries in the future. That is why we need a special owner to take Fendi home. She is a beautiful dog and at six months old, she has her whole life ahead of her. She is great with people… loves other dogs and even some cats!
