Walk for the Animals on October 5th -- Register Now!

We hope to see you at the 2008 Humane Society Walk for the Animals THIS Sunday, October 5th. If you haven’t yet, please be sure to register today! You won’t want to miss this fun event for the entire family!

Highlights of the day include:

  • Wellness Natural Food for Pets station
  • Intown Restoration's Canine Agility Course
  • Washington Humane Society Mobile Cat & Dog Adoption Center and $35 Microchip Clinic
  • Bark Bars (treats for your dog) sponsored by Doggie Style Bakery and GreenPets
  • Cosmic Catnip's Kitty Café (treats to take home for your cat)
  • Dogs by Day's Dog/Owner Look-a-Like Contest
  • American Airlines Best Dressed Canine Contest
  • Goody bags and T-shirts for registered participants

Bring your canine friend – or walk for a pet who prefers to stay at home – and enjoy a scenic stroll around the lake at beautiful Constitution Gardens, located just north of the World War II Memorial, at the corner of Constitution Ave. and 17th St. NW. View map.

All proceeds benefit the lifesaving adoption, humane education, and spay/neuter programs of WHS and The HSUS. You can raise even more money to help animals by asking friends and family to sponsor you. As a bonus, the top individual fundraiser and members of the top fundraising team will win a great prize!
